Take this photo for example- this is what my feet looked like at 38 weeks pregnant:
The swelling was just absolutely crazy with my first baby. I've had 3 more children (including a late July baby) since and not once have my feet swollen up even close to the way they did with my first baby! In the photos below, the picture on the left is from 38 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and the picture on the right is what my feet look like now.

How about you? Have your feet or ankles swollen much during pregnancy? Did they swell worse during one pregnancy than another?
I must say those are some mighty big feet you have, cinderella! hahaha Oh the joys of pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that looks like it hurts!

Oh wow, that looks seriously painful!! I didn't have swollen feet but I remember how badly my skin hurt on my belly sometimes from all the stretching so I can only imagine how much your feet must have ached!!!
ReplyDeleteMy feet swelled up too and stayed that way even after for a couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteMy ankles were non-existent they were soo big! Ugh, plus they (and my feet) felt burning hot all day and night. I can't believe the difference in your's throughout your multiple pregnancies!
ReplyDeleteunofficial diagnosis...Fred Flintstone Toes.
ReplyDeleteoh, so uncomfortable!
Yikes! I never really had that happen with any of my pregnancies. It sure looks uncomfortable!

ReplyDeleteNope No swelling ever here..
ReplyDeleteI had the worst swollen feet at 3Mos....but then they went away! When I flew in an airplane or traveled I wore big athletic socks to my knees.....that helped. I'm passing your blog onto my sister-in-laws....they are both prego and expecting in January!
ReplyDeleteOh and you should try to tackle some clothes sewing! Just email me if you have questions! I'd be glad to help!
ReplyDeleteI had pre-e with my first daughter, but no swelling...no pre-e with #2, but I had crazy swelling!
ReplyDeletemy feet swelled up the last couple of weeks too. just as bad.
ReplyDeleteI've only had one baby though so no comparing.
Wow that's nasty! I hope IF we ever get preggo that THAT doesn't happen to me. Eekers! (I'll be 30 next year. I hope we are preggos before then...been trying for almost a year now.)
ReplyDeleteIt looks painful. I can imagine what it was like, because I use to be 214 pounds I lost 40 pounds since then, could lose another 40 though, but still it's amazing how that 40 pound increase can cause a person to need a WHOLE size bigger shoe!!
No swelling at all with number 1, but the twins were another matter - yep - fat fat fat ankles. I had to buy new shoes for the last few weeks!
ReplyDeleteYes, my feet were massive during my pregnancy as well!!!
ReplyDeleteMy feet were horribly swollen with #1! I had really bad edema as well. Haven't had swelling since (except for the normal fatter feet that come with being pregnant). I'm 39 weeks pregnant with #3 and although I have many gripes, that isn't one of them, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteI'm 39 weeks pregnant with my 1st. My right foot is a little bit larger than my left, but yes, they look a lot like yours did. I've started a joke about my fat foot and named it Cluby. Sometimes, it gets so swollen that I can't walk on it. And yes, I had to buy some crock like shoes to wear these last few weeks. So terrible! I'll be glad when they go back to "normal".
